La India Specialty Tejano Seasoning Guisado Mix

1tbls oil

1 carrot stick, chopped

1 lb ground beef

1 can tomato sauce ( 8oz )

1 oz fresh cilantro

1 medium onion ( about 8oz ), diced

1 medium sized potato, chopped

1 tbls La India Tejano Seasoning

2 fresh green serrano chile peppers

Preheat a 3 or 5 quart sauce pan. Add oil and wait for about 1 min. Add onions ( diced ) cook, stirring, until onions begin to soften ( about 5 min ). Add ground beef and cook until well done ( browned ). Add 1-1/2 tbls Tejano Seasoning, potatoes, carrots, cilantro and 2 whole serrano peppers. Add can of tomato sauce ( or stewed tomatoes ). Add i cup of water or enough to cover meat and vegetables. Bring to a simmer then reduce heat, cover and simmer until the flavors are blended and vegetables are tender ( about 30 min ) , add salt to taste.
