Hobi's Bites

Chef Peter Hobi is a Swiss pastry chef.  Growing up, he was involved with his family's 75 year old restaurant and butcher shop and went on to studying and mastering the art of pastries and confections.

In 1983 Peter moved to Houston and began his U.S. career as a pastry chef for Intercontinental Hotels, The Westin Galleria, and The Westin Oaks. In 1994 he opened his own pastry shop, Alphorn Bakery. Besides making delicious wedding cakes, Peter now also makes the best spicy crackers in Houston

Outside of his business, Peter has always supported others in need. He adopted a mentally challenged man and was voted on to the Board of Directors for Noah's House, helping them build a new facility.

When Peter started Hobi's Bites (formerly known as Lonestar Dynabites) it was close to his heart to find a way to partner with The Center. Working closely with the not-for- profit, Peter has been able to employ a number of The Center's clients to help with the production of the crackers - seasoning and packaging the crackers is a way of them to earn money and be part of a fun and meaningful project.

By purchasing Hobi's Bites crackers, you are directly supporting The Center and their clients. Thank You!
